I enjoyed the current story but the flashback one just did not capture my interest at all.

Listened to this on audio and wow!! Over 21 hours!

This is split into 3 timelines. The first is about a 4 year old girl who is found dead and two teenage girls confess to her murder. The second storyline is 30 years ahead when another 4 year old girl goes missing from the same farm the previous little girl lived. The 2 teenagers are now grown up but one still lives in the area and the other is a famous actress and is working on a new film close nearby. The third timeline goes back 300 years. But is connected with the other timelines.

I enjoyed the third timeline and it does the in with the rest of the story towards the end of the book but even if it was left out, still would have been a good storyline.

There is lot going on at one time but still easy to follow. I did think I knew how things would turn out, and I was right in the cases of 'who-done-it' but there was other parts that I didn't see coming.

I really enjoyed this book. Although the book is based in Sweden and has been translated into english, and some of the Swedish names are hard for me to pronounce, I would read more from this author.

I would give this a 3.5/5 stars.
