I liked the new angle with a live case now and we get to see the reaction of the family as well as the way the podcast episodes affect them. Again, it wasn't the biggest twist of all time and I was able to work out most of it before the reveal. Although I did think that
This edition of the audiobook (because I belive there is another) was very well done with effects put in that really added to the story. However I am tempted to recommend you read this in print as there were several images in the story that were mentioned but that obviously I couldn't see. Also there is one section where a witness uses a voice modulator and it was completely impossible to tell what he was saying. Luckily it wasn't too crucial but it was kind of annoying
Looking forward to the 3rd book!
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail, Sexual assault, Murder, Rape, Blood, Death, and Gun violence
Moderate: Car accident, Drug use, Fire/Fire injury, Stalking, Mental illness, and Alcohol
Minor: Confinement, Cancer, Stalking, Child abuse, Suicide, and Terminal illness
There is a side plot about a court trial of a serial rapist and his victims and also at the end Pip suffers from a lot of disassociation and ptsd-type symptomscupcake207848's review against another edition

I will admit Holly Jackson does a great job of writing a mystery. Just like in AGGGTM, I really couldn't guess the whole ending. I put together some pieces early on, but that's it, and I am known for guessing a mystery very early on 😬.
Pip and her character development were interesting, to say the least. At first, you think that she has come out reasonably unscathed with solving the murder of Andie and Sal; however, the further you get into this book, you start to realize Pip is not all there, and she is slipping back into old and worse habits. She is so desperate for the truth that she is willing to do anything. However, with that being said Pip believes herself above the law. If someone else commits a crime, they are guilty. If she herself does something it's okay. Towards the end of GGBB, Pip becomes very hypocritical and self-centered.
GGBB could have been done without the "romance". The romance between Ravi and Pip was so silly and out of place. It's more of a best-friend relationship than a romantic one. GGBB isn't focused on romance and is all about mystery. So it's jarring when Ravi comes into a scene and you are reminded, "oh, that's right, they are together," and it happens every time. Also, Pip treats Ravi like trash in GGBB when he enters the few scenes he is in. She care's little for his thoughts and makes him feel like he is out to get her.
Finally, what really irked me about Pip was her taking away the voice of the sexual assault victims. She, herself, was never assaulted yet she makes the Max Hastings trial about her and only her. She pushes the true victims aside and tries to take the spotlight in the whole scenario. She took the victim's voices away, even if it was unintentional. That is NOT okay.

I feel like this one focused heavily on Pip’s struggles with everything that’s happened to her in the past year as well as people’s comments both in person and online. I got a lot more emotional with this book, especially at the ending where I felt crushed for Pip. I wish we’d gotten to see Pip & Ravi’s relationship in the early stages a little more, but I love him! He’s so sweet and supportive of her.
I had a feeling I knew who would be involved in the mystery from pretty early on but it took a lot longer for me to feel certain about it than it did in the first book.
Excited to read the last book and see how this series ends!
