Really enjoyed this book. Bought it as a summer read, expecting it to be a predictable chick-flick. Although partially true, it did surprise me. There was a lot more depth to the characters than I was expecting and the story was interesting all throughout
Eh, it was a nice, comfortable read. Nothing to write home about though.
Thank you to Netgalley & St. Martins Press for this ARC of Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy!
So I feel like I should start this review by saying I have never read an Elle Kennedy book before (I know, I KNOW). Her writing style is relatable and I liked the drama. This would be a great romance book to read over spring break or during the summer. There were parts that made me laugh, and I thought the pacing of this was pretty okay. The banter between Cooper and Mac was fun, until it seemed to get a little repetitive.
Some of the phrasing in this book (things like "wifey") made me roll my eyes, and the whole bet/cheating thing wasn't for me.
I would recommend this if you already love EK's other books or you're looking for a quick escapish romance.

I think this books is the kinda book i would recommend to someone when they are FIRST getting into reading again. Its a very approachable romance novel with a good plot. Its not nearly the most interesting book i have ever read but it was still good.
Would have been 5 stars but the ending felt rushed and incomplete.
Quick read and I enjoyed it although it was full of cliches and stereotypes that kept pulling me out of the story.
Good girl/bad boy, open door.

it was okay. I liked the main characters just fine, but there were too many side characters to really give any of them any worthwhile depth. I felt like the conflict was spread too thin across people and events, and some character elements were really underutilized. the plot progression felt lazy and very predictable with the forgiveness feeling rushed. needed more groveling imo. I knew what was going to happen by page 30, which was kind of a drag. I think if the author had delved deeper into a more select few points of conflict, the story would have been more well rounded which could have balanced out the wattpady predictability. not super jazzed that I (once again) bought book 2 before book 1, but not super mad either. perhaps it will be a hook, line, and sinker situation where I like book 2 better. it was kind of obvious from the force-fed side characters that the author is setting this up to be a series where each friend in the group gets a book. felt lazy imo
