I’ve been in kind of a reading slump where I’ve hated every book I’ve read recently and this one was no exception. It’s probably not as bad as I thought it was but for some reason I just really found it so annoying.
First there’s lots of cheating and for people who. Plain to be in love and what not it’s very strange morals.
Second the rich girl poor guy makes sense EXCEPT I cannot believe this girl made a multi million dollar company that’s essentially Reddit while in high school.
Third this book happens over 6 months and the couple we are supposed to be rooting for just sleep together and fight…? I don’t know the best scene in this whole book was when they were at the theme park. I just didn’t think the chemistry was believable at all.
Fourth I know it was probably set up for a sequel or spin off but the brother constant getting in fights and keeping secrets was never explained? And the weird mom that shows up for literally one chapter??? None of it made any sense.
Ok so maybe it was as bad as I thought. I’ve never seen outer banks but this felt like a weird shallow less interesting version of what that show would be.

Just breezing through all of Elle Kennedy’s reads this year!
Mac is trying to make her own way in the world, out of the light of her parent’s shadows. Cooper is trying to get revenge on her Ex when Mac gets caught in the middle.
This honestly was probably my least favorite Elle Kennedy book so far. This relationship was probably a little toxic 😬 but won’t stop me from picking up other books.

Mac has a boyfriend, and Cooper is the local bad boy. I'm sure you see where this is going.
While the end game isn't a mystery by any means, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the journey! These characters are very well developed and super realistic.
Each of the books in the Avalon series focuses on different characters but are all still very much connected.
I'm looking forward to reading the other two!
