I loved this. I didn't really like Knox in the beginning but I ended up loving his character. I skipped some of the smut since I don't really like that part of an audiobook but the rest of the narration was amazing. I can't wait to continue the series.

Burnout by Rebecca Jenshak (Holland Brothers Book 1)

What it's About: Avery is an Olympic medalist rehabbing from a ACL knee injury. Knox Is a motocross racer who was just kicked off his pro team for fighting with a teammate. Starting off as enemies, they soon develop a friendship turned more when Avery agrees to help him with workouts to develop body awareness for his tricks he is performing in freestyle.

My thoughts:❤️❤️❤️❤️. Solid storyline and good character development. I love an enemies to lovers trope and will always read these stories no matter what. Knox is also the perfect badboy dressed in all black with a bike but romantic and sweet behind closed doors. I definitely was digging this book boyfriend. I think I may have liked it more if it wasn't a college romance.

I went into this not really knowing much about motocross and if I'd like it, but I did. It was nice to see both main characters passionate about such different things and how blended together through the story. You can tell Jenshak thoroughly studied both sports to immerse a reader in the different worlds.

I loved the dynamic between the MMC and FMC. I am a huge fan of banter in books and this one delivers on that. Knox was the perfect mix of asshole with those glimpses of sweetness.

My favorite thing about the book is that it felt more like the evolution of the characters instead of just the romance of the story. Avery's drive to get back to the Olympics and overcome her past injury gripped me. I loved seeing Knox slowly open himself up after his history.

This was a nice introduction to the Knox brothers. I can't wait to read the rest of their stories.

It’s refreshing to read a sport romance that is not ice hockey. It started off a bit slow but got better towards the end. I really enjoy the motocross aspect of it all and thought it was unique and different.
