I saw a review that said something about “being reminiscent of his 20s” and “being disjointed” in the writing style. While I agree that this book fell on those lines, I did eventually enjoy it. He’s relatable in ways I didn’t think he would be to me, and it was a light and breezy read.

Surprised the overall rating is so low. Quick, easy read that I thought was funny and very moving in parts- his loneliness as a kid in particular.

I wanted to like this book so much, but it was very underwhelming which disappointed me because Gary is a fantastic writer. I gave this 3 stars but really it’s a 2.5. Some funny moments but like I said, underwhelming for fans of Gary.
