"One minute you exist in every sense of the word… the next you don’t… "
One Line Review: When Dr. Catherine Lipton takes her destiny into her own hands, the universe decides it has other plans…
Synopsis: Catherine has always pushed herself to become the things she felt her single father lacked; serious, neat, organized, and all the other things she grew up without. Catherine works endlessly to achieve her dreams, including her new apartment and new position as a Mathematics teacher at the University. She’s right on track to check every box off her checklist until one day, she arrives to new hire orientation and is told her ID, Social Security Number, Birth Certificate, and basically everything else about her doesn’t exist. With the help of the apartment building’s doorman, Luca, she begins to navigate this new reality in the hopes of learning who she really is.
My Thoughts: The concept of this book was such a burst of fresh air for me, as I haven’t read anything quite like it. However, I wish I could’ve emotionally connected with our main characters, Catherine and Luca, a little bit more. I loved Luca’s extended family, and having a network of people that tried to help them at every turn!!

Such a cute and wonderful hook! If you like Ashley Poston, you’ll love this book!! I fell in love with Luca immediately and Catherine is so type A (can relate) but is also still learning what she wants in life.

just didn't care enough to finish this book! i kept going back to it and reading 20ish pages but it was sucking the life out of me. i didn't find it convincing or compelling.
3.5 ⭐️ a so-so book. Didn’t realize that it was actually magical realism until the end. The romance wasn’t that exciting and didn’t connect with the main character
