I thought there would be a larger fantasy element to the book. I thought this would be like other magic realism style books where it's a driving force of the characters narrative.
It ULTIMATELY is her ability to see ghosts in the end that set that plot up, but it doesn't show up throughout the narrative how I would have liked it to. Like us ally the magic realism element isn't a secret to the readers too.

I was super intrigued by the concept of the FMC having her identity gone overnight, but I felt that the book felt slow and a little boring at times though I do like the MMC and FMC together and how he supported her so much through everything.

cute, easy read. cat easily has one of the more interesting FMC backgrounds than other novels i’ve read. would have liked a lot more build up between cat and luca, and most importantly would have LOVED an explanation on the ghosts. it felt like a haphazard plot line with no follow up.
