4.03 AVERAGE

I really like the story and the world and I hoped that Fallon would turn into a powerful women.
But she still hasn’t gotten her power yet and the sequel was kinda a disappointment.

Fallon was still kinda childish and bitter and she really wants to help but does it in the most stupid ways ever.
But who can really blame her if lore kept her in the dark of everything and so she just made assumptions and went on and about with them. The miscommunication aka no communication really rubbed me the wrong way also the intense hatred Fallon felt for him for almost 3/4th of the book and suddenly they are in love. I kinda loved their dynamic more when he was a crow.

But I really liked getting to know more of her ancestry and how the curse can be broken.

I thought I would like this book more than the first because of lore and her but in the last book was more adventure where she was the lead. In this book it was more about keeping her safe and except of some questionable actions she did not really contribute anything meaningful. She didn’t really had a purpose.

Honestly I already knew what to expect from the first book. And I still was somehow more disappointed.

I flew through book 2 on crow wings!

It was great. This time around, we got a lot more crow lore, including the entire kingdom and their abilities and weaknesses. I'm not gonna lie, but Fallon might be more stubborn than my three boys put together, and they're quite something

If you liked the first book, you'll like the second even more.
The characters become so much more developed and so many questions are finally answered.
There's definitely a bit of a cliff hanger!

What’s mind boggling about this book to me is that I read it quickly, enjoyed it, and finished it, and then promptly forgot the entire ending. I couldn’t tell you anything past 3/4ths of this book, to the point that I still had it in my “currently reading” section of Goodreads. The first was better, I’m very sure of that. The spice is better in this one though which deserves an extra star imo.

I loved the first book, however Fallon is just painfully annoying and unlikeable in this second book. Moving on from this series.

2.5? Really disappointed in this one since I loved House of Beating Wings. Fallon was a whiny brat pretending she’s being held prisoner for the first half and in the length of one chapter she forgets all the things she hated Lore for and accepts that they’re mates. The writing was odd at times and the pacing was so inconsistent. The plot hardly progressed until the last 25%, enough to keep me reading the series… maybe.

Okay WOW. This book was even better than the first. The slow burn romance was so worth the waiting. The tension was perfection. Lore has my whole heart & I really love Fallon’s development in this book.

This book really builds on to the world we got to know in book one. We get to see so much more of the Sky Kingdom and I really love the addition of all new Crows.

When I say this book couldn’t have set up for the next book better, I 150% mean it. I’m really hoping to see Daya & Cathal more in the next book. Actually, I’m loving so many of these characters, I need more of them all. They all deserve so much happiness
