And this is where I leave this series behind... It was okay and I didn't like it enough to continue on with the story. This book was honestly 85% Fallon arguing and rejecting Lore, 10% where's Daya/Antoni/whoever else is missing in action and 5% Dante acting a POS.

In book one learning the full mystery of the crows kept me reading. In two it was seeing how/if Lore and Fallon would end up together that kept me involved.

Holy shit, Fallon was the absolute WORST for the first EIGHTY PERCENT of the book. Selfish, stubborn, & childish little idiot. It's absolutely insane because she was fine in the last book but then decided to be absolutely horrible to everyone in this book. She didn't listen to ANYONE. Dude. She was unbearable.
Despite Fallon being a fucking moron for a majority of the book, I found myself unable to stop reading. Even when I had to put the book down and go to bed, all I could think about was what was going to happen. This book made me so mad. Why do all of the characters keep so many secrets from each other???? The book would last all of a chapter if they just TALKED TO EACH OTHER. Jesus Christ.
Regardless of how irate House of Pounding Hearts made me, I will still gladly be reading the next and final book.

Despite not a lot of actual events taking place during book two, besides a lot of set up for book three. I couldn’t help but blow through chapter after chapter! I was engrossed in this sequel and immediately started book three!
