You like dark, this is for you. I liked the concept of the religious cult being taken down it was something new and nothing I previously read. It was just missing something. I thought this would be a book I couldn't put down, I like the FMC and how she changed and grew it was entertaining to read those moments. I'm not sure what it was that kept me from loving it maybe the pace or when the secrets came out there wasn't a really holy shit moment for me.

Lives up to booktok hype! Strong story with a good backbone.
This plot felt utterly unhinged! I was definitely intrigued by this story and found everything going on pretty wild and entertaining. These two are sick and unhinged whites doing what the whites can do with little to no consequence. I didn't love this one, but it was very entertaining. I enjoyed seeing these two freaks be dark as fuck.

Really not worth the hype this book got. Several times I almost DNFd it. I guess I kept reading expecting whatever everyone was raving about to happen but I was left disappointed. It was pretty boring throughout and half the story didn't make sense or was just reaching for puzzle pieces to make the plot which had no depth to it at all. It was just surface level facts that's supposed to get you invested but didn't delve any deeper than that. The MCs did not interest me at all, in fact they pissed me off more than connecting with them. I wish I did add this to my DNF pile when I was going to and read something better instead

3.5⭐️ I would say overall it is a good book, it’s definitely a dark romance and I loved that I just thought it took too long to get to its culmination. I think it would have been possible to skip a fair amount of their POV overlap. Fair warning there is A LOT of spice! (It’s delicious and effed up). Such an original story, and very well written characters, you could feel Briony’s slow transition from little church innocence to wild and free weapon. You don’t necessarily feel the same from Aero becoming softer, but they do meet in the middle. I would recommend to any dark romance reader!
