Sofie & Theo Landmark
AUDIO

This book had me going back and forth. It was a beautiful story, but I needed Theo to be a bit more likeable. Even though he was the one who was hurt and left behind, the way he was with tons of girls and gave Sofie a hard time and never even tried to find Sofie made him hard to relate to and like. But Sofie’s story was so heartbreaking and I was so invested in finding out all of her secrets.

This is the story of Theo and Sofie who were best friends and high school sweethearts. Until one day Sofie left town with just a note, leaving Theo heartbroken. The death of her father brings her back to town and old secrets begin to be revealed that explain her abrupt departure. It honestly was such a good story and it would have been 5 stars if Theo wasn’t such a playboy and was a little bit kinder when she returned. I felt so much reading this book and it brought out all the emotions.

I am such a sucker for second chance romance

Related with Sofia on so many levels; her love of horses, past trauma, fierce protectiveness of those she loves, her strength and her vulnerability- she is amazing. Theo comes around to being the man she deserves and the journey is a pleasure to follow. Usually when I finish a book I can immediately move to the next but not with this one. This one required time to savor, process and recover. Highly recommend.
