I might come back and change my rating later because I can’t decide where I land between a 3 and 4. Definitely closer to a 4 than 3 even though if you read my reviews, a 3.5 is actually a good read to me lol.
I did enjoy this book. It’s a second chance, small town romance which are two of my favorite tropes so high marks just for concept. I love the ease of everything with Sofia and Theo, definitely love that their relationship started so young. I enjoyed all of the flashbacks to them over the years, the way Sofia was just part of Theo’s family, the whole town being in your business. The clapping and cheering at the diner gave me a good chuckle! It really is a good story!
The only reason I feel maybe something is missing is the response to why she left. She had a valid reason, the buildup of it being told in parts was good, and the final straw before she disappeared was only minimally predictable! I think I needed a bigger response to it all. If Theo held on to being mad at her just a little longer, maybe have a few more blowups before he agreed to hear her out would’ve made all the difference for me. They fell back into life and their relationship just very slightly too easily for me so it seems like the severity of what happened to cause Sofie’s departure and the aftermath that was Theo’s heartbreak and spiral was slightly glossed over.
Overall still a good read. I’d definitely continue the series and read more from Willow Aster. There were a lot of fun elements from the town overall, Owen and Dakota I’m sure will continue to give us laughs. A good read for sure!

Was so happy to jump back into Landmark. I love the setting and all the characters. I devoured this in one day because I couldn't put it down. Willow Aster's writing is so palatable and easy to read.
Sofie and Theo were so cute. I love a good second chance romance - and this was written beautifully. The (bad) tension between the two at the beginning because of hurt feelings that grew into the goooood kind of tension. The push and pull between these two when Theo wasn't sure he could trust her was so good and really drew me in.
My heart was breaking for both of them at the "reveal" as to why Sofie left all those years ago. Sofie and Theo are both such sensitive souls and seeing how much the truth effected Theo had me crying. He was so sweet to Sofie in making sure she was okay.
I just love the Landmark family and how big their hearts are - having a family like that that accepts others into their home and family is the most important part of a small town romance series, for me. My absolute favorite part of this book? The epilogue - the second part of it is just.. too much and too cute for words. It had me crying (again)
I cannot wait to see what is next in this series!
Thank you to Valentine PR and the author for an eARC of this book!

I was so excited to read the next book in this series and I think I love this one even more than the first!! In Someday, the readers follow the love story of Sofie and Theo, childhood friends who fell in love and were planning their forever together, until suddenly Sofie leaves Landmark Mountain and cuts off contact with Theo, leaving everyone behind. Eight years later, after her father passes away, Sofie returns and makes it clear that her feelings for Theo have never left.
Through flashbacks of Sofie and Theo's past and emotional chapters describing their reconnection, the readers are taken along for a beautiful, heartbreaking journey as these two characters, who are clearly meant for each other, struggle with past and present demons and find their way back to their beautiful love story.
I love a romance book full of angst and longing and this book delivers that in spades!! Sofie and Theo's love for each other is full of swooning, pining and refreshingly open communication. We get to watch as these two endearing characters rebuild their relationship, piece by piece and find mutual healing in their connection.
Once again I can't wait for the next book in this series!

The story behind this book was cute, high school sweethearts that haven't seen each other for 8 years get together again.
Her reasoning for leaving was soooo valid and thank god he accepted it without blinking.
However the one thing I didn't really like about this book was the amount of smut scenes. There was too much, half of the book was smut and it wasn't necessary. The book could and should have been much shorter.
And the epilogue bonus scene also wasn't that great.

4.5/5 star rating.
Tropes:
- small town
- second chance
- childhood best friends to lovers, to high school sweethearts…to second chance? (I think that’s the best way to describe it)
Very cute continuation to this interconnected standalone series!
It had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning, craving answers to the reasoning of everything that went down. They’ve been massively in love with one another ever since they can remember, from childhood best friends, to high school sweethearts, they’ve been attached at the hip their whole lives…
But then she left with no answer as to why, never to return…until eight whole years later…
He’s angry at her, so damn resentful, when all she wants is the man she still loves to at least give her a chance to explain herself…
So much angst! So many unanswered questions throughout their separation, and I kept turning and turning those pages for answers…and when we got them, damn did it hurt!
Theo and Sofie definitely held my attention, and I craved that happy ending for them both!!
And as much as I loved their story, there were some parts that held me back from giving it a full 5 stars…
• Biggest one was probably that he wasn’t celibate AT ALL, in there separation, sleeping around with God knows how land women *cue me cringing* …now this is where some of you are rolling your eyes, saying “inessa…of course the man had sex with a ton of women in the 8 year separation, especially when Sofie left so abruptly…”
But that’s not the biggest problem I had, It’s the fact that Sofie didn’t sleep, nor do ANYTHING with any man in that span of time…(I don’t even think she went on a single date)
I hate this trope…the one where the men is allowed to sleep around in the time their apart, but the girl, oh me oh my, she hasn’t even looked at a man! Because she loves him so much. But don’t worry! He loves her too! Trust me he said so himself , no matter how many women he slept with he never forgot her

Holy heart wrenching. This book just took my heart and ripped it to pieces with Sofie's back story. Let's say the tears were ever present in this one.
Sofie is strong, resilien, and so brave. That girl has gone through so much, and I can't even imagine it all. It was so amazing to see her grow and develop throughout the book, and finally open up to Theo. I loved getting to see her thrive. Theo was so caring, sensitive, and protective of Sofie.
Sofie and Theo were also insatiable once things started to heat up. We love a man that can keep up.
As always I just love the entire Landmark family. They steal my heart every single time. They are such a fun and loving bunch that you can't help but smile at their shenanigans.
The epilogue had my heart melting in happiness. It was so romantic and perfect and just everything.

Someday is book two in the Landmark Mountain Series, it can be read as a standalone. This was my first time reading a book by Willow Aster and it won't be my last. Eight years ago Sophie left Theo in the middle of the night, only leaving a note, no explanation. This caused Theo to become heartbroken. Years later, Sophie has returned because her dad died. The first time Sophie saw Theo after being gone for 8 years, it broke my heart because you could tell she still loved him, but Theo wanted nothing to do with her.
This story was sweet, beautiful, and emotional. I love the way the two love each other and help each other heal. When Sophie finally told Theo why she left, it broke my heart and the way Theo changed after that, aww.
This was a great book! I can't wait to read more by Willow Aster.
