It’s very rare for me that the second book in the series is better than the first. But Willow Aster did it with this one! I truly loved Sofie and Theo story. Childhood sweethearts, second chance romance, and small town, all wrapped into one!
After eight years of being away, Sofie finally returns home. And she needs to deal with the fallout and the heartbreak that she left Theo. She was his everything and she vanished overnight. She needs to work his way back into his heart, and he needs to find a way to live with her being around and the fear of her leaving again.
There are some trigger warnings of domestic abuse, child abuse, and the death of a parent. This book made you escape and fall into Landmark Mountain.
Welcome back to Landmark Mountain, and the world that Willow has meticulously crafted to suck us in and make us want to be a part of!
Theo has been in love with Sofie since they were 8 years old, their future was set, at least that’s what he thought. Sofie loved Theo with everything she had, but she also had secrets that she was too afraid to share. Can these two work through their issues and get their HEA?
Everything Willow writes comes directly from her heart and it shows, especially with this story. This one covers some deep and traumatic events, but with her usual grace Willow doesn’t go for the obvious reaction, she writes gently and genuinely and makes you care for these fictional characters like they are part of your own family, which is why I will read all of Willows books, and why you should too.
This is book 2 in the Landmark Mountain book series, and there are more to come. Start with Unforgettable, roll right into Someday and then get ready for Irresistible!! I can’t wait to see what Willow has in store for Wyatt!!

Someday – Landmark Mountain Series #2 - Review
Couple: Sophie Copewell & Theo Landmark
Author: Willow Aster
Tropes: second chance, small town, family saga, tortured heroine, dark pasts, interconnected series, first love
Review: A best friends to enemy to friends and lovers romance that brings us back to Landmark! In this new dual POV romance we meet Theo and Sophie whose past is riddled with secrets and memories that shows us just how important a childhood love can be.
Theo is the Landmark brother who has always had an old flame for his childhood sweetheart and this book depicts how harsh a cold shoulder can shape someone into. I felt like Theo was the character I loved the most in this book and his story is so achingly hard that it tears you up when you learn why Sophie left all those years ago. We see just how much he actually feels and how scared he is of her destroying him again as the book unfolds and the two of them become entangled again. I thought the hate and walls he formed were written well and Willow did a phenomenal job of creating his character and inner strength.
Sophie on the mother hand is misunderstood and has a dark past. I was heartbroken over her story when it unraveled in the book. I understood why the sudden departure happened but also wanted to hate her for how she handled it since she left Theo with all the fall out when she ran. I also enjoyed reading how her childhood made her into the strong FMC she was. I loved how she was loyal to her friends and did everything to make herself a home back in Landmark.
This book also brings back Gigi and I LOVED HER. I am so excited for the next book since I just know the snark will be full steam for the next brother. I was hoping for this book would have more with Scarlett and Sophie since it touched on how close they were when they were younger.
Someday is a book full of chemistry, love and spice. The buildup between these characters was written artfully and made you hang on to the tension and angst between them. I appreciated how they did not jump right back in to being together and loved how their bonds outlasted all the dark emotions both had.
Rating: 4/5, this couple is childhood romance turned soulmates!

Could not put this book down!!!
It was so nice to be back on Landmark Mountain and second chances always have my heart, but this book is so more. It’s about survival, it’s about never giving up even though you think you have lost it all and mostly it’s about always being in the love that got you through the dark times.
Sofie left Landmark Mountain years ago, but her heart was always there. Theo moved on, he had too his heart was shattered. When they are forced back together, the truths they have to face only make the light they once shared brighter. The secrets revealed, the strength in her words only add more to what Theo knew, he would only ever love her. But is that enough.
Being back with the Landmark family is like saying hi to a friendly neighbor, seeing how close-knit the town is and supportive of each other is a wonderful feeling.
Willow has a way of pulling you in to the pain, to the love and to all the in-between.
