Someday is book 2 in the Landmark Mountain series (standalone) and follows Theo and Sofie. Willow hit it out of the park with this emotional second-chance romance. Believe me, you'll need to bring the tissues out for this one.
Theo and Sofie were childhood sweethearts. Like all-consuming, "we are getting married after college" love. But then suddenly, Sofie leaves town with basically no trace leaving behind nothing but a note and Theo's broken heart. Eight years go by and Sofie is back in town after the death of her father. But guess who never left...
At first, the resentment between Theo and Sofie makes tensions incredibly high and uncomfortable. This are intense. Sofie is dealing with her dark past being back in her hometown and she is so desperate to reconnect with Theo, the man she never stopped loving. Only Theo is over Sofie's sh*t. He's angry and hurt (rightfully so) and was under the impression that they could conquer anything as long as they were together. But of course, those feelings for Sofie are still there. Only this time, he is not acting on anything until he has some answers.
Agh! This book was wonderful. The lead up and anticipation between Sofie and Theo rekindling their relationship drove me up the wall (in the best way possible). I cried and giggled and cried some more.
An absolute WONDERFUL second installment of the Landmark Mountain series by Willow and I cannot wait to see where she takes this series next!

This was an amazing second chance romance! Sofie and Theo were everything!
Childhood sweethearts, Sofie disappeared eight years ago and left Theo with nothing but a note saying she loved him and she had to go. Now she’s returned to town after the death of her father, and they are forced to interact since Theo is a livestock vet and Sofie inherited her father’s horses. Sofie is determined to get Theo back, but his walls against her are sky high.
The chemistry between these two was epic! Theo still harbours so much anger, hurt and resentment towards Sofie for leaving him behind. But the feelings of love are still there, and there’s a thin line between love and hate. Sofie has been keeping secrets in an effort to protect Theo, and she’s tired of it, she wants him back and wants to move forward, together. Seeing the two of them embrace each other again, and work through the issues of the past was so beautiful. You could feel their love for each other. It was so intense, and I felt all their emotions throughout the book. There were some tears shed when everything from the past comes to light. I loved everything about this book and can’t wait for the next one!

Theo and Sofie were best friends as children, stayed best friends as they started dating in their teens, and Theo thought they were destined to spend their lives together. Until Sofie disappeared right after they'd graduated from college. He didn't hear from her for 8 years till she moved back to Landmark Mountain.
This is a roller coaster of a story - Sofie's back and Theo is still angry and hurt, and since he doesn't know the real reason she left, he thinks it was something about him - he's still scarred because they had the love of a lifetime. Sofie has apologized, and eventually tells him the truth - and yet he's still struggling to believe they can survive because deep down, he's terrified that she's going to leave again.
Lots of emotional moments, along with the release of anxiety from letting go of the baggage one or the other of them have been carrying all these years.

This book is just what I needed to get out of my book slump! All the feelings, the smexy time, the characters, this book has it all! I absolutely loved it!! I did not read the first one, and I had no problem following along with all the characters. I will be going back and reading the first one though!. Excellent story!!
this was my first willow aster book and i don’t think it will be my last. i really really liked theo and sofie. i loved getting to see little glimpses into their past when they were together and i liked getting to watch them navigate their relationship the second time around. i also thoroughly enjoyed the other characters in the book. theo is so freaking sweet and supportive. i loved getting to see him be so vulnerable, even if he was just by himself and i liked seeing him with sofie. sofie is so strong. i was a little confused as to what happened in the beginning but i think that just added to me finishing the book in hours because i needed to know. and once everything is revealed i just immediately liked sofie so much more. she is so strong and i can’t even imagine how it would be like for her to be back in landmark. i loved how theo’s family openly loved and accepted sofie, even when she came back and they didn’t know anything. it was almost like a redound family sort of. all in all this was a good read and o definitely want to read more about wyatt and marlow so bad!
if you like small town second chance romances with first loves, so much steam, and lots of heartbreak this is for you!
thank you willow and valentine pr for an arc!

Do you ever just pick up a book and know immediately that it's going to be a comfort read? That is how every Willow Aster book is for me. It gives me the warm fuzzies and I just fall in love with her characters and small town charm.
Theo and Sofie are just everything I needed to read about. Best friends to lovers to strangers/enemies and back again to lovers. Sofie basically left in the middle of the night out of nowhere and told Theo to move on and be happy. But, come on, he never really moved on and years later Sofie has returned after the news of her father's death.
This book was SO much heavier than I was expecting (I do not read blurbs so that is on me but I love the surprise) but I loved every single minute of it. Watching Sofie and Theo find their way back to each other and heal from all the previous trauma was just so amazing.
Someday is book 2 in the Landmark Mountain Series but can be read as a standalone. I also happened to looove Unforgettable so you should go ahead and read that first!

HOT TAKE ALERT - Honestly, the real double standard here is everyone getting pissy when these authors romanticize the h being celibate and the H be less than that when it was never a secret that a) this is a second chance trope, and b) it’s fiction! Gahh suspend reality for a friggen moment and just enjoy it. Keep the high and mighty double standards for your own reality. I’ve said what I said!

I thoroughly enjoy this series and the characters. The Landmark Family has been a source of comfort for me and also the newcomers to Landmark. Sophie's story was heartbreaking and the way that Theo came around, so completely once he learned Sophie's truth was so moving. I love the town of Landmark and all of the side characters; my heart was so full seeing the members of the town rooting and also silently betting FOR them. It was super sweet.
The pacing and plot were well balanced and kept me engaged through the story. All of the characters were relatable to some extent and were lovable, with the exception of Sophie's Dad, obviously.
There are some pretty heavy themes in this book, so please check the authors website for those.
