I did enjoy this book, but I think that it was way less enjoyable than the first book.
I didn't particularly ADORE Sofie's character the way I did Scarlett, but I also identified a little more with Scarlett than I did with Sofie, and I think that has to be a HUGE portion of the reason I feel that way.
I did, however, like getting to see some of the history behind Theo and Sofie; and I loved what we got to see of Sofie and Marlow's relationship. (I've already started the second book, and I am hoping to see more of that.)
Back to the past. I love that Theo was willing to be understanding when he realized what Sofie had been going through when she left, but I hated that he kind of ignored the way it made him feel throughout almost the entirety of the rest of the book, even after Scarlett pointed out that he needed to address it if he and Sofie wanted to move on together.
I will say, there was no third act breakup, and once again, there was no miscommunication that caused a major issue when it normally would have, so I do think Willow is amazing at not relying on that being the only source of conflict in her books, and I hope that continues as I read the rest of the series.

This book is an emotional second chance. You really are rooting for the characters to find their way back to each other right away. I liked Theo and Sofie they clearly have a deep love but are also a little co-pendent. They both needed a little therapy to deal with their traumas and that is something that was lacking from the story. I found this to be a solid romance.
