i didn’t click with this book.
the MCs were childhood lovers, the FC left him without warning one day… and then she’s back in town and they basically pick up where they left off. and they’re madly in love with each other and have always been … except we don’t see anything about their relationship, what did they do together ? common interests ? inside jokes ? almost a decade has passed who are they now, how different is the relationship ?
who cares ? certainly not the author. the only concern is that sophie will leave again. other than that they hang out with their family and have sex on repeat - sorry but i need a little foundation for a relationship in order to get interested and want it to work out

I was so looking forward to Sofie and Theo’s story but I definitely didn’t expect how emotional and heartbreaking this story was going to be.
Sofie and Theo have known each other since they were young kids. Eventually their feelings toward each other grew so much and they ended up falling madly in love with each other. Everything was great: they were happy, they knew they’d spend the rest of their lives together and they were constantly making plans for their future. Until one day everything changed.
It’s been 8 years since Sofie left Landmark unexpectedly, leaving everything and everyone behind, including Theo.
And now she’s finally back, and her ultimate goal is to prove to Theo that despite her sudden departure, she never stopped loving him. She’s back to fight for the life she deserves and envisioned so many years ago.
Sofie’s story was really hard to read at times. It’s heartbreaking to know what she went through but incredible at the same time for her strength in overcoming the past nightmares and fears.
The chemistry between Sofie and Theo is there since the beginning, no matter how hard Theo himself is trying to fight it.
Someday really is nothing as I expected, it’s so very different from Unforgettable but I enjoyed it all the same, and I cannot wait for the next books in the series.

Ok, I want to start by saying that I'm feeling a little conflicted about my feelings on this one. While overall I enjoyed this one and am honestly excited to continue the series (and read more from this author in generally), there were a few things in this one that just didn't work for me.
First, I just didn't feel the emotional connection between Theo and Sofie. Which, when it comes to a second chance romance, the emotional piece is always what pulls me into the story. Don't get me wrong, it's clear that the two of them cared for each other and had missed each other very much during their time apart, but it just felt like everything between them in the present was all about their time in a bed (if you know what I mean). Don't get me wrong, I love me a good spicy romance, but I don't want it to be all about the spice. I need their to be something deeper between the characters, but this one just didn't fit the bill for me.
Second, and now this is where my conflicting feelings really come into play. I don't understand why Sofie didn't just tell Theo about everything that went down the first time they really talked. I get that revealing the information later in the story keeps you on the edge of your seat, but I think I would have felt more for these characters had they been totally upfront with each other from the beginning.
All that being said, I didn't hate this book, far from it. It was still a very enjoyable read with an interesting story. There is some serious subject matter discussed in this book and I think it was handled really well. While I wasn't 100% devoted to these characters, I was still rooting for them and I was still very happy to see the two of them get their happy ending together. I'm also very excited for the next book in this series. Willow Aster did a great job giving us little hints to what the next one will be about.
