Roaring Twenties all over again, am I right?

This was a delightful collection of stories. To tell the truth, I enjoyed most of them more than the title story, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. They were alternately sweet, sad, funny, and romantic. This was really an excellent book, and I am now planning to read more of Fitzgerald's works. :)

I really liked The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, I might even put this story up there with The Great Gatsby. The Diamond as big as The Ritz and O Russet Witch were pretty entertaining stories, but Tarquin of Cheapside was just okay.

I picked up this book just because I wanted something short to read before bed and I ended up thoroughly enjoying it.

I adore F. Scott Fitzgerald, but found this book to be a bit boring. Bits were good -- most notably "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" -- but overall, just a bland read.

Not bad. I just don't like short stories very much. A couple I loved and a couple I hate.

The Jelly-Bean: 3/5

The Camel's Back: 4/5, I was crying in laughter while reading this story. The beginning didn't look promissing but it quickly turned hilarious.

May Day: 3/5, didn't get interesting until the very end.

Porcelein and Pink: 4/5, pretty funny play

The Diamond as Big as the Ritz: 3/5, interesting concept but I kind of wish it was a novel. Though to be fair I do feel that way about most short stories.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: 2/5

Tarquin of Cheapside: 2/5, I liked the characters but didn't have enough of a story to get invested.

"O Russet Witch": 4/5, I absolutely loved it until the end.

The Lees of Happiness: 5/5, one of my favorite short stories of all time.

Mr. Icky: 3/5, another play but terribly depressing instead of funny. A lot was in stage direction so would probably be great for actually watching but not for reading.

Jemina, The Mountain Girl: 3/5, not enough story for me to care about at all but interesting.

I only borrowed this copy to read the titular story. I didn’t read any of the others.
Count: 24 pages.
