Really really like this. The humiliation and meanness. Ughhh it was good. The emotions so cruel and cutting. I liked the Omega was strong and not swayed

What an emotional rollercoaster! This story was well told and dont worry, there is an appropriate and laudable amount of groveling done that left me with all the warm and fuzzy feelings by the end of it - stay strong readers! This is a good one :)

Oh my god, my heart.

The first half of this broke my heart, and then the second half put it back together.

Honeythorn is my first read from Marina Vivancos and unfortunately I found it a bit underwhelming. I've heard this described as super angsty and as a lover of angst, I was really looking forward to reading this. While it does have some emotional turmoil, it doesn't last long and overall didn't meet my high-angst expectations. The worldbuilding is sparse and vague, and made up of a strange mix of elements: omegaverse, Regency-inspired pseudo-historical, and also a bit of steampunk because of slightly advanced technology. The writing was mostly fine, but it seemed like the author was trying too hard to give it a Regency flair and as a result the language is stilted, the dialogue doesn't feel natural, and the prose doesn't flow well. I'm still interested in trying more of Vivancos's work, but I think whatever I try next won't be set in this world.

MM, omegaverse, bonded mates, pseudo-historical, arranged marriage, black MC, short novel (59k words), Kindle Unlimited
