This book is fu**ing awkward and weird. Also unbelievable, strange, and did I already mention awkward? It's basically about sex, power and guns.
Not one good character, the storyline is total rubbish. I guess in a duration of not even two weeks since your husband was killed you will be completly mesmerized by the person that got him killed andskinned his skull and put it out for display.

I'm so sad about this because I was actually really, really excited about this book. The cover is what drew me in at first, because let's be honest: IT'S FUCKING STUNNING!! And the blurb sounded amazing!
So, yeah, I was really excited about this book but unfortunately, the writing was too weak in my opinion and didn't flow well. I couldn't connect with the characters, I felt like the story wasn't going anywhere and it's like nothing was actually happening...
So, I had to call this one a DNF...

This was my first time reading something about this author. I truly loved her writing style and she provided a lot in this book. This is a dark read and had me on the edge of my seat. I truly believed I could have given this a higher rating but I felt like it's so much that was not told about the characters that left me hanging. This story has love, suspense, death, power struggles. Everything was there it was a good read I just wanted more things answered. I will be reading the next story anyways. Until next time.....Kisses
