I loved hearing about her life growing up, stories about modeling, and obviously any time she said "Tom" but all the philosophies and stuff was just boring to me.
I enjoyed reading her book and the lessons she learned and wanted to share. One thing that keeps sticking out to me is when she talked about how there is a difference between being the best and doing your best. I love that and think that is an important thing to teach my kids for sure! There was a few other nuggets that I loved from her book. I appreciate her outlook on life and her love for the earth. She seems like a lovely person who tries to bring light and happiness to this life.
So... she’s not just some superficial model. She has some depth and seems more human. Was this book going to change my life? No although it did reinforce not to judge a book by its cover (girl). :)
I listened to this because why not, but there were some definitely insufferable moments, not because it was dumb, or even badly written, but because of how preachy and out-of-touch it came across. I don't think she meant to, but it did, nonetheless. This would have been a decent sit down with Oprah interview (maybe she already has...)
