I think a bunch of us got this as a free Audible pick, but, in retrospect, Audible was just really throwing the dregs at us.
The thing is, I don't need another bury-the-gays story. Maybe you do. But the lack of nuance in this very basic and oft-repeated tale didn't really...do anything for me. Or to me. I am going to forget this in days.

Great performance. The story is sad but tries to be uplifting and I think it accomplished that.

This was interesting..
The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey left me a bit confused. I think it's just how it ended for me.. because up until then I was all in it and completely invested. Especially when we get to see Leonard at such a young age. This kid was and is my spirit animal and I loved how he always stayed true to himself.
This book could have been amazing because it had so much potential. I mean it was about a hate crime and we get to fall in love with a character that we barely met. It almost had me in the palm of it's hands.. but then the ending came. Ugh, I wanted to like it but it just kind of ended weird for me. Which I get because these books are pretty short but maybe if it was a bit longer then the ending could've suckerpunched me in a good way? Maybe?
No idea. I did enjoy it though.

License uses his voice to make each character come to life. It is a quick listen, but worthwhile. I got as one of my free Audible picks--and I'm glad I did.

I'm not sure if this was suppose to be a mystery or a drama. I'm going with drama because the who dunnit part wasn't well done. It was a fine, short listen on a road trip.

This one man show is amazing. I don't Know how the actor conjures up these voices. What a talent!

I absolutely loved this. The performance by the author is amazing and the story is important to hear. Here’s to more Leonards in the world. Strongly recommend!

CW: Murder, Homophobia
This play is quite short, but highlights the beauty and joy of Leonard Cohen and how embracing himself impacted many people in his community, and yet how an individual with hate and homophobia ended his life, but not his impact on the community.
