I'll Kiss You Twice

I’m so invested in what happens with Braelynn and Declan that I’ve finished both books in less than two days! This is the second book in the Shame on you series and it’s darker than the first one but I absolutely love it. It ends with the biggest cliffhanger ever and I NEED to read the last book in the series!!

As always check TW if you have them, but the writing and story is absolutely amazing! 5/5 in my opinion

0⭐️ Boooo. I can’t believe I sat through the whole thing. It was very bad. Bad characters, bad plot, bad spice, and worst of all, boring. The way all the other characters treated this woman was absolutely insane. The fact that she put up with it was also unhinged. I’ve yet to read a mafia romance I liked, but damn did this suck. I’ll skip the next one for sure.

What just happened???
okay, so I get that a lot happened here. But clearly the information got to the feds through whatever emails Braelynn was sending and if anyone had actually ASKED her something, that would have been clear? I get there was a lot of stress all around here, but they both acted kind of out of character compared to the first book?

That ending???? That's what we're left with??? Would have been a 4⭐ book for more if the ending felt more complete (it could have even ended the same way but been more fleshed out and I would have been happy!)

This book picks up where book one (Tease Me Once) left off then sucks you in and doesn’t let go! I expect nothing less from the Merciless world and Cross brothers. I love Declan and Braelynn as a couple and am low key worried about the gut punch book three will be after what Willow has said on Insta. The dual POV is great and I love the further development of the characters and their voices in this book. Once again we end on a cliff hanger and all I can say is thank goodness book three is just around the corner. If I had to wait for it I would be so disappointed.

'A wild ride from start to finish. I'll Kiss You Twice by W.Winters is a true masterpiece of romantic suspense, with a little extra thrown in.' -The British Bibliophile

Thank you to Wildfire Marketing Solutions for sending me an ebook Advanced Readers Copy for me to read and leave an honest review.

I'll Kiss You Twice is the second book in Willow's Shame On You series, the point in which I have also jumped into this series. Although I have yet to read book one, I was able to jump in at this point with ease and pick up on the general goings on of the characters and the story at present.

Having jumped in, in the past at the end or near the end of Willow's other books in a series, she's very brilliant in the skill of getting you up to speed if--like me--you're reading out of sequence. Not on purpose, I must add. I don't feel like I've missed a trick when jumping in mid-late way through this series, so fear not, dear readers, if you jump in here you're only one book back to catch up on!

Once I started reading this book, I simply couldn't put it down. I picked it up in the latter part of the evening and read into the early hours until I had finished it. To me, that's the mark of an exceptional book of any length, if it can be read in one night. Not rushed. Just, read. It's been a long time since I've done that, so well done to Willow for crafting a super-engaging story!

As a reader and lover of all things dark romance, I'll Kiss You Twice was high up there in expectation. Some novels are written so similarly and have very little in terms of plot and how they differ from one another, but this wasn't the case here. Willow among the many reasons we love her and her work for, is fantastic at creating the perfect level of darkness mixed with tension, spice and romance. Yes, the situation here is not ideal in the real world but that's why we escape to books, it's a whole new world where we can read all dark, intense we like. And the Cross brothers certainly are a dark bunch, as is their lifestyle.

I'll Kiss You Twice blew me away. It truly showcases the best of Willow, the darkest of circumstances, and a cliffhanger I'm for once not mad at. For someone who doesn't like them usually, I'm keen to pick up the next book to see where things are going next.

Bring on book three!
