Aside from feeling empathy for the characters talking about their hardships (i.e. sexual assault, coming out to their parents, identity, etc.), this story wasn't really for me. I was confused a lot of the time, didn't really understand the "magical" elements of the story, and I just didn't really care about what was going on. I picked this up because I read Spinning by Tillie Walden, and I enjoyed that one a lot, so I thought I'd give this one a shot, but this one definitely paled in comparison.

Esperaba más de esta historia.

Habla de temas importantes, que están muy bien tratados y representados, como es habitual en Tillie Walden. Sin embargo, sentí que todo transcurría demasiado rápido. Sobre todo, porque tiene un toque de realismo mágico que se me quedó algo forzado y poco explicado.
