The sequel to the Wizard of Oz that I remember loving as a child.
We follow the adventures of Tip, Jack Pumpkinhead and the sawhorse while meeting up with old favorites like the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodsman and Glinda. The major plot is around helping the Scarecrow regain Emerald City after it is overthrown.

If I was a kid this would be a 5 star book but I'm rating it based on my enjoyment.

Still I did enjoy this very much. Great world building, great characters, plot was a little transparent but it is a kids book.

it was... okay. there were several comments and attitudes that aged poorly regarding women, as they were painted as vain, resentful, and materialistic. the adventure by itself was fine, but i will admit that i am not the greatest fan of the main characters, specially Glinda. i know it says that it is a book for children, but i am doubtful that i would ever read it to mine.
