i have such a love for this series and this book made it even better. genuinely fills the void that SJM leaves, but with its own unique storyline. the characters are so well written and complex and i have loved getting to see the character and world development throughout this series

I loved this conclusion to Miche and Asar’s story. I really appreciated that it wasn’t a neat Disney ending, but an imperfect one that reflected their true selves and the world they were living in. The way the author allows the FMCs in her books to own their power and claim their place as equals to the MMCs is one of my favorite parts of her storytelling. I can’t wait to read the next duology in this world!

I found myself getting a bit lost towards the end, probably should’ve have reread serpent and ashes but here we are.

Overall I liked it!

Ready to fall down bad for Septimus.
