So I really did like this book for the most part. But it just got to be SO LONG! And the end was anticlimactic to be honest the bad guy was obvious. So by like 90% I was skimming. I loved the relationship with River and the guys. I loved Ash's character growth. Lyric was so cute loved her. But overall by the end I over it sadly. I didn't even read the last 50 or so pages

Such a fantastic second book to finish the story of River and the boys of “Whispered Words”. They really do repent for leaving River behind, ghosting her in “Bitter Notes”.
Lyric is so cute,the things she comes out with are just hilarious. Rad my favourite of all the boys is such an OTT character.
Evil Ash comes clean and totally redeems himself, all our favourite characters make an appearance, so looking forward to reading Journeys book later, she definitely sounds a colourful character.
Always love it when karma pays a visit to the unsavoury people in Ricers past. Such an amazing read, really enjoyed it and will definitely read again.

It was a fun addicting read with why choose, reverse harem / a single mum and dads who want to be involved.
There were some downsides, like some icky or second hand embarrassment. But I think I get that in like every book I read lately. But I def recommend. I was hooked and there was barely any spice for the first like over half so it was a good fun read.
