I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this review. I have been anxiously waiting for Sweet Strings since I read Bitter Notes. I am OBSESSED with River and the guys. Even though the ending of book one left me so furious with Kieran, Asher, Callum, and Rad. I had zero idea how Aly was going to turn things around and make me love them again. But let me tell you, it did not take long at all for me to change my feelings for them.
Sweet Strings picked up 5 years after the events of Bitter Notes. River, who is now working for her brothers as their “fixer”, finds her in the one spot she never imagined she’d be again, working with Whispered Words as their band manager. I absolutely loved their reactions, and how each of them worked their way back into River’s heart. However, I think the thing I was looking forward to the most was their reaction to Lyric, and let me tell you, Aly did not disappoint me. The character and relationship development in this was just so freaking good!
I don’t wanna say anything else and give anything away, but I will say I highly recommend this duet to everyone! It’s definitely going to be one of my favorites for the year.

From moment two, I would say one but IYKYK. I absolutely loved this duet but this is by far my favorite of the two. The love they all share is what dreams are really made of.

Or will she finally have her own sweet revenge for the heartbreak they dealt her. She’s got her own secrets and one of them is bursting to be seen. Love love this series. Aly Beck wrote an amazing story with this.
Not only was Pretty Girl a bad nickname, it’s used 189 times in this book. This alone made me want to dnf but I was too far in to quit. The nicknames they gave her were very overused, it ruined the purpose of having one.

1 character was a bit annoying with his loud personality. Like the stuff he said was just *eye roll*. The overall story was good though. I wish the redemption wasn’t so rushed.
