DID NOT FINISH

I was really rooting for this series to be good!

And it would be such a great story if it was thought out better and had taken time to plot the story out. You can tell it was rushed and there are things that are redundant and somethings could have been omitted entirely. Also feels like it tries too hard to be intelligently elliquent.

I enjoy the concept of this book in and of itself. Throughout the book I felt myself getting frustrated with Amaris, when previously she was my favorite of the main cast. I actually really enjoyed this as well, as it felt like she had a lot of growth even though it was "unlikeable" to me it still made her character and her interactions more interesting in this book.
I really enjoyed Nox's relationship with the Reevers throughout her travels in this book. In how she holds herself, how she isn't ashamed yet still private. In this book I really came to enjoy Nox's character as it felt like the beliefs we knew she had (and why) were explored and challenged in a realistic way.

I can't delve too much into my opinions of the rest of the cast without spoilers but I have been enjoying CJ's series immensely. More people need to read this.

deeply disappointing !! loved the first book, this one felt like really off fanfic about the characters in the first book and really REALLY questionable consent and boundaries in regards to violence and general interactions

Fantastic!

*REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*

I really enjoyed this story. I love reading books from two POV and this was done so well!

The self-discovery journey for not only Amaris and Nox but also Gad had me hooked. I was expecting a bit more spice, but overall I thought the story was great!

I am not sure of the direction that the love story is heading but it may be heading towards poly, and that would be awesome to have that represented. However, even if it is not the tension and passion is described beautifully.

I didn't like that the same words were used so many times to describe things. It just felt so repetitive. Kinda reminded me of when my kids learned a new word and that's all I hear for a week lol.

Still, can't wait for book 3!

I loved it! The pacing was a lot faster in this book and just one word..Gadriel <3
