Entertaining but the killer was given away very obviously within the first couple of chapters. The ending was off the wall wacky. There was 1 good twist though.

I really enjoyed this book! It was giving me final girls vibes but not in a way where it felt like I was reading the same story again. I liked all of the three narrators and thought they had very distinct voices. There were one or two plot points/ details that had felt were unresolved when I finished the book but I can’t remember what exactly they were.

Also I pictured Mr. Steadman as Mr. Frond from Bob’s Burgers so do with that information what you will.

Overall, I felt like this was a pretty good thriller. There were definitely some very messy characters. I wanted more from the 90s though. It was just a tease with the description of the book. There were some pretty good twists. I didn't care for all of the  pregnancy point outs that I thought were a little weird. The ending was heartbreaking, but pretty good.

After a very long time, I’ve finished a book in 24 hours, and it has left me utterly shaken. I am shook. Speechless. The eerie tingling hasn’t left me even hours after finishing the story. It spooked me to the core. Never have I ever woken up in the middle of the night (2:17 am) thinking about mysterious murders and a plot with no loopholes.

The story starts slow, with gray, unreliable characters, but as it picks up, the mystery thickens, and unexpected revelation bombs drop one after another. Multiple POVs and dual timelines, with main characters who are victims ridden by trauma, enrich the plot, giving the reader more insight than the characters themselves. While some parts and the ending were abrupt and lacked closure, this didn’t detract from my overall experience.

I’ll need a break from murder mysteries to cleanse my palate—and also to find another one as gripping as this. Highly recommended for those who love a story that lingers long after the last page is turned.

I really enjoyed this crime/detective/mystery novel. Two murder cases, both eerily similar, but how are they connected?
I really liked the different characters, and I liked the history that was made clear as the story progressed.
