This was an interesting short read, I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator did a really good job. The story itself was so fascinating , but i was not a big fan of the ending and kinda predicted it. I knew it would be either erin or liz, because of the pov in the story and was not surprised to find out that it was liz because it was too pretentious. like who would not care about 15 mil dollars, that is just fake lol. you can be a saint but still want that kind of money. erin and danny were really fun characters ttho, and i want to eat the food made by danny. the other characters like eva, topher, anne, and all were not that memoriable, they were your typical rich douche bags. a fun read!
A little slow to start, but then I was unable to put it down!
A few months ago I listened to The Guest List. I was surprised in the beginning of this book by how similar the 2 are. I almost thought there might have been issues for Ruth Ware because they were eerily similar in the first 10 chapters, but by chapter 15 it was a completely different story.
I loved how Ruth Ware laid the groundwork for the story that kept you second guessing yourself until the end of the book. As soon as the action picked up I was constantly changing who I thought was the murderer, even while having rather large hints dropped. This was my favorite Ruth Ware book, so far! So so good!

My first read by Ware, it wasn't horrible, but not amazing either. Somewhere in between. I liked Erin and Danny's characters, but the amount of rich, entitled characters was honestly annoying. Liz was a bit much too.

3.5/5
It took me a bit to feel intrigued by the story. At least the first ~30% felt a bit slow. Despite that though, I couldn't stop reading. I needed to know what would happen and see if my suspicions were true. The middle definitely started picking up but the last ~30% is what really got me. I was relatively happy with the end and did start feeling the suspense leading up to it.
The only reason this is a 3.5 instead of a 4 is because it took awhile before it really caught my attention. I even almost considered dnf'int early on but I'm glad I didn't!
This is my first Ruth Ware book and it won't be my last!

Classic Ware, and one of her better ones too. Imogen Church of course reads it brilliantly as usual. Modern take of Christie's [b:And Then There Were None|16299|And Then There Were None|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1391120695l/16299._SY75_.jpg|3038872]. I thought the creativity behind the app "Snoop" was quite clever, and I liked having two POV narrators. Three stars instead of four because I found it blatantly obvious who the killer was from the start, but, I was hanging on to learn the motive and see how the protagonist survives, both of which were unexpected. Recommend.

My first thought was 2 stars because oh my god what a bad thriller. But the atmosphere? My enjoyment? It held this book up like a trophy. So I'm giving it a generous 3 stars. I'll most likely read everything by her because ruth ware is just safe and fun. Plus it's the same narrator for all her books and my autistic ass just loves that
