Solid thriller. Not particularly revelatory or mind boggling but just solid. Good for a fun read.

3.5 rounded down. Was like a better version of Lucy Foley's Hunting Party for most of it but the end got really dragged out - the same critique I remember having for Woman in Cabin 10 by her. A fun read though, especially if you're sick in bed and need an engaging book!
Definitely some unexpected twists and turns. I was kept guessing pretty much the whole way through.
Actual Rating: 3.75 out of 5 stars
Was this predictable? Yes. But was it entertaining? Also yes.
I think this was a pretty classic mystery -- simple, traditional, but still good in my opinion. I did think the company was really interesting and put a more modern-spin on the classic books it took inspiration from (like 'and then there were none'). I don't think the plot twists were particularly twisty. But I think the atmosphere and the feel of isolation and claustrophobia are the best parts of the book.
There were a lot of characters, but I thought Ruth Ware did a good job at making them all distinct. The characters were incredibly unlikable, but I really enjoyed reading about them?? I loved the setting, and I found the app and company super interesting. And even though I guessed the killer pretty early on, I couldn't put the book down?? I stayed up until 3 AM reading this last night lol. I would recommend if you like super atmospheric reads or traditional mysteries.

2.5/5
It felt like a chore to get through this, and the villain was painfully obvious. But the setting was interesting and there were distinct and interesting characters.
