I seriously loved this one. I have always resonated with Tynion and his foreword here helps to explain why. He has taken a lot of inspiration from Gaiman's Sandman series and it shows. Everything from the art to the heart of the story feels both distinct in his own style and very much in the nature of the source material.

I really enjoyed revisiting the universe and following this new Corinthian. The foundation had been laid in this first volume and I can't wait to read more following the Corinthian and Madison Flynn on their journey to find the smiling man.

For fans of the original series I think you will find plenty to love. For new readers, I recommend starting with the source material as this is not a good springboard into the material.
