Great biography about a great athlete. I was born many years after Ali finished his career, yet it seems like I was born with knowledge about who he was. The only athlete who might be more recognizable is, I think, Michael Jordan. Ali remains the greatest ever, a true champ. Next generations will also know who he was, as his legend lives and transcends generational boundaries. He challenged social norms, risked being thrown into jail because of his principles. Insolent, hated, and booed at the beginning of his career, he became a hero to many. The rhythmic chants of 'Ali, Ali, Ali' from thousands of throats became an integral part of all his later fights. He was also a man full of faults and contradictions.

Highly recommended read.

I really enjoyed getting to know more about Ali’s life and was shocked at how thick the book was, it felt like everything was in it and really helped pulled back the curtain so to say!
