Not what I expected. It is more of a slow kind of thriller which I don’t tend to like, and also there isn’t really any big plot twists, it’s just a story about “how did we end up here?” basically.
I’m not a bid fan of the ending really although I think it’s a really unique story.

Not so much a crime novel as a twisted psychological study. It's a quick read but a disturbing one.
Definitely a slow-burn thriller, but worth it to get to the end! One star deducted only because there was a point towards the beginning that was a little too slow. Loved this twisted narrative overall.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoyed this book as much as I thought I would. I was stupefied by how boring the first half is. Being insinde the MC's head is unbearably tedious and claustrophobic but not in a good way. The pace is awfully slow and prolonged for no reason. It took me a while to get through this book, it's only 300 ish pages! I could easily devour 300 pages in one sitting but not with this one.
To give credit when credit is due, it did get interesting towards the end. By the time the plot twist start to unravel, all the suspense I had was already gone with the wind and I felt relieved to finally be done with this book. I did like the ending though, also the format of the book works well for me but I cant say the same with the writing, not a big fan of the writing.

Baru kali ini baca novel yang tokoh utamanya 'sakit'. Iya, sakit jiwa. Gimana penulis bisa mendeskripsikan sisi jahat manusia melalui si tokoh utama ini. Rasanya merinding, kayak seolah-olah kita yang punya sisi jahat tersebut, karena novelnya ditulis dengan sudut pandang orang pertama.
The darkness of the human soul can be very shocking and frightening. The way every single thought and action is portrayed in this is going to give you the chills and leave you dumbfounded. The lack of remorse and guilt is something terrifying. How can a person be so cruel and not feel anything? As I read the epiloge, waves of goosebumps were hitting me, one after the other.
