“No more pain than is necessary for usefulness, healing, and cleansing. As much goodness and joy as our heart can hold, as soon as our heart is healed, open, and ready to receive. God: approving, accepting, instantly forgiving.” Pg. 33
“What if we knew for certain that everything we’re worried about today will work out fine?
“What if… we had a guarantee that the problem bothering us would be worked out in the most perfect way, and at the best possible time? Furthermore, what if we knew that three years from now we’d be grateful for that problem and its solution?
“What if… we knew that even our worst fear would work out for the best?
What if… we had a guarantee that everything that’s happening, and has happened, in our life was meant to be, planned just for us, and in our best interest?
“What if… we had a guarantee that the people we love are experiencing exactly what they need in order to become who they’re intended to become? Further, what if we had a guarantee that others can be responsible for themselves, and we don’t have to control or take responsibility for them?
“What if… we knew the future was going to be good, and we would have an abundance of resources and guidance to handle whatever comes our way?
“What if… we knew everything was okay and we didn’t have to worry about a thing? What would we do then? We’d be free to let go and enjoy life.” Pg. 81-82
“There is a harmonic, gentle, timely feeling to owning our power, to self-care, and to acts with healthy motives that are not present in self-will and self-seeking. We will learn discernment. But we will not always know the difference. Sometimes, we will feel guilty and anxious with no need. We may be surprised at the loving way God wants us to treat ourselves.” Pg 124
“This moment, we are right where we need to be, right where we are meant to be.
“How often we waste our time and energy wishing we were someone else, were doing something else, or were someplace else. We may wish our present circumstances were different.
“We needlessly confuse ourselves and divert our energy by thinking that our present moment is a mistake. But we are right where we need to be for now. Our feelings, thoughts, circumstances, challenges, tasks — all of it is on schedule. We spoil the beauty of the present moment by wishing for something else.
“Come back home to yourself.” Pg. 234

I requested this ALC from Libro FM because while I have read quite a few self-help books, this one seemed different. I liked the idea of splitting advice into daily segments, and though this isn't a revelation, it works well in audio format. Liz Cole narrates beautifully, and I will continue to read it daily.
My only gripes would be that this would've been better coming out in Dec/Jan due to its layout and that there isn't anything new or groundbreaking about it.
Overall, I'd rate it 4 stars because it has some good advice and excellent narration.
Thank you to Libro FM for the ALC.

Some good daily reminders if you can get past all the god talk and 12 step-ness.
I enjoyed this book, there were some incredibly powerful and helpful sections, passages, examples, and stories, and throughout the reading it did help me feel better.
However, the author spends a lot of time talking about god, which does not appeal to me, and so I skipped over many of these sections.
There are also many dated references and examples, which cannot be helped, but I would be very interested in an updated, non-religious version.
Overall I found this book very helpful for a peaceful mind, albeit with some flaws.

I am currently going through this book daily, based on my counselor’s recommendation. I absolutely love it. It is filled with wisdom.
