I have to catch my breath. Devastating & hopeful always at the same time, how does Backman do it.

I was surprised to find there is a 3rd Beartown book because I felt like the first two each concluded so perfectly. You don’t feel like you need to know what happens next. And yet, here we are. And when you read it, you realize you NEED to know what happened!
I had all the emotions, but mostly I cried. I love these characters so much, even most of the ones who do some pretty terrible things. I have such compassion for them and understand their motivations. Backman writes such real characters. I’m going to miss them.
