I did not realize that I had read this book many years before, until I read the very last chapter. I think I enjoyed it more the first time.

While some elements of this book were good - notably the way it was written from the dog's perspective - I felt like I was being hit over the head with "important life lessons." No subtlety at all.

Lovely

The author read at our library recently and was GREAT...I had to run out to get this book immediately! The narrator is a dog, by the way. Not a magical realism dog, or a talking dog, but a regular dog who happens to think a lot. I loved the beginning, and the author's writing, but I was distressed by some of the plot turns. I nearly gave this book 3 stars because of it. Still worth reading

I loved this book so much - it was so well written and I loved the perspective of this deep & emotional story being told through the dog. He has so much widsom to share with all us humans.

this is a pretty good book the dog is a little annoying sometimes but it was original and fun to read and stuff

Describing the story does nothing to describe the emotion of the book. Absolutely perfect. I buy it at garage sales and give it away to friends.

The easiest 5 stars I've ever given, but the most I've sobbed in a long, long time
