This was a super fast, super fun read that I'll be reading to my daughter as soon as she's old enough to care. Riddled with Asgardian lore, this was a delight typical of Gaiman.

wish it was longer :(

I enjoyed this book, which is a rarity from a Neil Gaiman book. Through no fault of his own. The story is an interesting addition to the Nordic mythos. It is of course well written and well executed, I mean come on It's Neil Gaiman. It also has one of the most interesting author biography bibbits that I have read.

Simple little children's tale, but a nice read for a mature person either way. ;-)

I listened to Neil read this, so the experience was certainly more beautiful than reading it on the page. He seems to be obsessed with Norse mythology, and what better time in popular culture than now? Audiences wait for the next Marvel movie featuring Thor and Loki like starving children, so I imagine these few books that deal with that, are appetizers and palette cleansers.

I admit to never having had much interest in the Norse side of things, despite devouring anything Roman or Greek I could get my grubby hands on for years, but in Neil's hands the Norse stuff becomes just as interesting. He has this subtle humor, and yet perfectly place words, paragraphs and chapters devoted to giving us the lore without the boring bits.

I really liked Odd and found myself wishing for more when I finished. Good thing I have [b:Norse Mythology|37903770|Norse Mythology|Neil Gaiman|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1516128292s/37903770.jpg|51396954] that I can thumb through.
