A typical pop science read – full of entertaining anecdotes but lacking in concrete evidence or a clearly defined central thesis. Given the author’s extensive experience, I expected more depth and structure. Large sections felt repetitive or like filler, and at times, the book veered into problematic territory. It’s a concept that might have been better served as a long-form essay rather than a full-length book.

Had a lot of fun with this book, some really great insights into human perception and the science of marketing.

Genuinely, the most interesting thing about it was the layout. It was insane; the amount of footnotes and subheadings added was fully out of control. Dad’s recommendation.

Way longer than it needs to be. Hogwash.

The book says that people sometimes behave irrationally. Over and over again.
