This book sounded promising. What with the strange manner in which Deanna discovered a possible abduction/murder. To me, the book was anticlimactic. She rescues Annie, gets away with her with out a hitch. Then, because her need to kill is so strong, risks the child's life again by leaving her alone on a church doorstep to go back and kill the abductor. Now, by all means, punish the crook. I agree that he needs to be punished, but make sure Annie is 100% safe and sound first. Quit being selfish. I gave it three starts because of its unique premise, the fact that at the end she wasn't magically cured, and I kinda want to know where her and Jeremy lead to. I did like their strange sort of "relationship", if you can call it that. it wasn't insta-love, it wasn't the magic cure to her problems, and she didn't just, figuratively speaking, hop into bed with him. I will most likely read the sequel to see where the whole deanna/jeremy thing leads.

That was a pretty messed up read but so interesting. Jessica aka Deanna clearly has demons that she is fighting with. And to help curb the appetite of those demons she locks herself away into apartment 6E. She makes money by web camming (a sickly fascinating career by the way) and her only interaction with others is either over the web, occasionally on the phone and through her door. She has had this existence for three years and this book is a peek into why she is living this way and what happens when her orderly yet dysfunctional word is turned upside down by a missing girl.

Much of the book is spent setting up the life of Jessica, how she lives without going outside, who her clients are, and her daily routine. For about the first half of the book, I was intrigued but wondering where in the world the book was going...until you get there. What happens when Jessica's little world is set askew by an AMBER alert. You become accustom the Jessica's world, how she lives, why she does what she does. You become unreasonably comfortable with the way things are and then you along with Jessica are abruptly forced to face many of the things that you have been hiding from.

This book is probably not for everyone, as it was pretty crazy. It's only erotic in sense of description and Jessica's choice of career. The book itself is more of a psycho-erotic thriller. I am cannot wait to find out where the sequel is going to go, because while you are not left hanging, Jessica's story is clearly not over.

The Girl in 6E jumps right in and never really slows. It's graphic, sure, but what do you expect when your leading lady works as a cyber sexworker?

Her dark thoughts and mysterious background keep you reading and wanting more. Deanna/Jessica and murderous tendencies is strangely likeable and you sympathise with her and her self made prison.

The story is unsettling and, in parts, too easily solved with few plot twists but enough action to make it an easy page-turner. If you're looking for some dark, sexy crime look no further! Give this one a go.

"No one is normal. Everyone is just pretending to be normal."

A very compelling story that starts out as a mysterious plot that slowly unfolds and explodes into an action-packed, suspenseful storyline!

Carefully plotted; carefully and cleverly unfolding!

I like how the author writes in first person for Deanna's pov but for the other characters it's in third person, the author made it all flow really well. I was able to get a clear image of each person's point of view from the accurate descriptions in the writing.

I love the character of Deanna. I find she has a lot of depth and mystery. To me and to the other characters in the book. I find she's not the way she depicts herself. I like her confidence and general personality. There's so much more to her than what she says about herself at the beginning and to what may be a reader's first impression of her.

0/5 stars

This is quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. Ugh.

This book is amazing! The ride the book takes you on is a grimy, sexy, painful ride. I was in love with the character!!! Very well done!

Spicy. The sole survivor of her mother's murder spree and suicide, locks herself in her apartment with no physical contact with the outside world. This webcam girl only has virtual relationships with paying subscribers and tele-therapists; shops legally and illegally online; and only speaks to delivery men through an always closed door. Until a client makes her want to give him what he deserves.

Rated NC-17: "Violence, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content."

Like I said...SPICY. :)
