So I bought this book after seeing the back of it...I'm sure you can google that...but it's damn intriguing. Based upon the back alone, I expected one thing, then I started reading and had no clue where it was going so I expected something else, and then turns out it was NOTHING like what I expected at any time. AND THAT'S NOT A BAD THING.
Now...I will say...this book is not for everyone. If you don't like sexually explicit content...don't read it. It deals with fetishes of all kinds and I hate to say it but it deals in pedophilia. Now it's not graphic in terms of explaining actions in regards to the pedophilia but it does deal with a little girl being kidnapped and the expectancy of something sexual happening with her is present. Also, the main character has a blood lust about her so there's that too. If you can't deal with all of the above, this book is not for you...and Torre realizes this book will only fit into the niche of certain folks.
Now...since the back doesn't really tell you what's going on...I will. Deanna experienced a traumatic event when she was 17 that left her with a blood lust. She wants to murder people...most anyone she comes into contact with she imagines these elaborate scenarios of how she would kill them. So...to prevent herself from acting on these, she locks herself away in an apartment. To make money, she becomes a webcam girl. Log on and for $6.99 a minute, she'll be whatever you want her to be, and do whatever you want her to do. And she makes a ton of money...we're talking 7 figure bank account here. One day one of her 'visitors' wants her to be younger than she really is and the more sessions they have, the younger he wants her to be. She gets a sneaky suspicion that something just isn't right with the guy and then one day on her computer she sees an Amber Alert for a little girl named Annie....well her 'visitor' wanted to call her Annie. So, Deanna takes matters into her own hands and for the first time in 3 years, leavers her apartment in hopes of saving Annie. Now...there are intermingling plot lines and you see things from different characters perspective but that's the basic premise.
I must say, I found some of it quite educational...after all, I had no idea Financial Domination was a thing but it is. I liked that Annie was able to fight back her killing urge in order to go out for a greater cause -- potentially saving a little girl's life. I liked that she was able to have some kind of happy ending in that she ventures outside of her apartment after all is said and done, and she finds a dude who is somehow accepting of her oddity. I thoroughly enjoyed it and kept turning the pages because I wanted to know a) is she going to kill someone, b) who is wanting to hurt Annie, c) is someone actually trying to hurt Annie, d) will Deanna be able to save Annie....I just wanted to know what was going to happen. Based on the snippet at the end, there will be a second book with Deanna and I look forward to it.
This book isn't for everyone, but I guess I'm weird and/or twisted enough to like it....

Thought I had picked up a murder mystery, missed a whole extra genre included in there...
DNF gave up about 40% through... the writing was good and very well researched but the story was just not pulling me in.
I loved this book! It had been on my "to read" list for years, and I'm mad at myself for waiting so long to read it. The Girl in 6E was unique to me in the sense that there weren't any twists and turns...everything was clearly laid out, yet it still kept me so engrossed that I never wanted to put the book down. I was on the edge of my seat and was dying to find out how the book ended!
4.5 I loved it; while erotica isn't something I'd usually read, combine it with thriller though and we've got a winner. I read this all in one day and have already ordered the sequels.
Outside the realm of what I typically read. Although lacking in any literary value it was entertaining.

This was a solid book, but if it had stayed how i thought it was going to go in the beginning, it would have been much better.
In the beginning the character of Deanna/Jessica was unlike any character I'd ever read about. She was intriguing and I really enjoyed reading about her, as well as see her progression with Jeremy.
But as things became more and more about Annie, I lost interest.
Deanna's actions in the Annie case just seemed very... random.
I was questioning her SO much.
Like, she's supposed to be this awful person who can't even be around other people without wanting to murder them, yet she wants to help this girl. It didn't make too much sense to be honest.
I did enjoy it overall, but it simply didn't blow me away.

I’m so, so glad I picked up this book by accident. It was worth every second and I truly couldn’t put it down.
