I'm so conflicted on whether I like this book or hated it.

While it was cute and some of the dirty talk did things to my body, for the most part I found myself feeling a bit grossed out with some of the scenes. Maybe I'm not built for this kind of dark romance just yet, who knows. Some of the scenes were fine and I'm like "not for me but we don't kink shame around here." but other scenes I'm just like "I feel like this isn't a thing." Again, who am I to judge someone if they enjoy knife play while having sexy times with their partner?

I wanted to really love this book because everyone on Booktok was raving about it, but to be honest, it did not live up to the hype for me. It left me feeling conflicted more than anything. Still gave it three stars though because I did enjoy some of it but for the most part it not only felt a bit rushed but also, he 'hated' her for no reason.

DNF'd at 13% and I'm surprised I made it that far. I gave this a go because I saw an Insta post with a line that was more along the lines of "Who did this to you?" and that it was a dark hockey romance. So, I thought, why the hell not since it's on KU. I didn't make it to whatever scene was used for that reel, but do you know who did things to the FMC that were downright criminal? The MMC. Do not pass Go. Directly to jail.

such a good read

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the drama. I loved Grayson and Violet together. There was one plot twist or smaller detail that I felt like wasn’t addressed that I would’ve liked to see kind of blow up. If you know you know.
