When Hailey and Wes meet, it isn't under the best of circumstances for either of them, but they decide that they like spending time together and that they make great friends. Hailey, for me, was a phenomenal character. She had depth, wit, sarcasm, and a drive to succeed (although this could be detrimental at times). Wes, for me, was also a good character. You could tell he had a good heart and wanted what was best for everyone. The friends to lovers trope isn't usually my favorite, but I feel like it worked so well here. You could see and feel the chemistry, the banter, and the struggle to deal with those feelings. This was a great ending to the Jansen brothers series and tied everything up really well!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the e-ARC to review.

3.5 stars!

Yes, give me more of the Jansen brothers! Wes is the big brother of the three and he’s my favorite. He’s the guarded but caring brother who is trying to protect everyone. I loved his meet-cute with Hailey, the new shop owner of the Salad in a Cup. I wanted to try every salad she made! What I love about Sophie Sullivan’s books it they cover real topics with realistic romance. The characters are well-developed and I want them to be my friends in real life. Sophie, can you create a Jansen brother just for me to date but he will live in Minnesota with me?

I’m happy to announce Wes has joined his brothers in becoming book boyfriend bookmarks. Thank you, Sophie, for collaborating with me! They can be found in my Etsy shop. Thank you, SMP for the gifted copy of this book.

Tropes:

Wow! I loved this even more than I can even put into words. This was the sweetest friends to lovers slow burn rom-com I’ve read in a while.

Hailey and Wes don’t get off to a great start. But Wes is a smart man and owns up to his mistakes. He’s a total grump and she’s definitely sunshine and happiness. I loved how different they are but still have so much in common. Hailey is no wimp either, she stands up for herself and doesn’t let life bring her down. I really admired that in her.

I loved the meaning of the title and how it was brought to life in the book. I can’t say enough good things about this. I highly recommend! (Especially if you’re a fan of Ali Hazelwood or Lucy Score.)

*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review with my honest opinion.*

Thanks to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for the ARC copy of this

Hailey is to busy for love after starting her dream salad take out bar and moving on from her ex-boyfriend. Wes wants companionship but no love after navigating his parents messy divorce. After striking up a friendship they both feel like they have found the perfect balance but it is never that simple is it?

This is the third book about the Jansen brothers and I really enjoyed it. I hadn’t read the first two books but don’t feel like that really took away from the storyline at all. It was a fun, light and quick moving read. The characters were well developed and I found it hard to put down. I really liked Hailey, her ambitious nature and her kindness. Wes was really sweet and his relationship with his brothers was one of my favourites. This was a perfect summer read.

I would definitely recommend this book and will be reading the other books in this series!

Take a shot every time you hear the word ‘salad.’ Jk don’t do that. You’ll die.

3.5 rounded up.
I can’t tell if I love slow burns or want to throw the book across the room half the time

*Thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ARC!*

First of all - this is book three in a series, which is made clear by the way the other two Jansen brothers and their relationships are written as if you should inherently understand the dynamic, but I wasn't aware of that when I requested the ARC. It still reads as a standalone, but I do think I would've enjoyed it more having read the other two first because I'm just a series girlie.

Overall, this book was cute! It's friends to lovers MCs told in a way that actually felt relatable, because they have so. many. fights. So many. And basically all of them could've been solved by one or both being less stubborn or more vulnerable, which hello - feels real. Unfortunately though, it makes the reading experience a little less fun, because when they finally get to what should be the big ending conflict, you're like well, we've seen this before so *shrug*. I liked them and I enjoyed the story, but it's also not one I'm going to be thinking about a few months from now.

I received this as an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! This was my first Sophia Sullivan book, I had no idea there were other Jansen Brothers books, so I’ll definitely have to read those too!

Her writing style is so incredibly easy to read and you feel a real connection with the characters. I liked that it went back and forth between two different point of views. At one point I felt like there were A LOT of characters to remember but once I figured out who everyone was-I was good. I wanted to punch Wes from time to time but so did his brothers so I felt like I was in the right place.
