When Hailey moves to San Verde following her split from her ex-boyfriend in order to pursue her goal of opening her own By The Cup Salad shop, she bumps into Wes, a rich business-oriented guy, in the coffee shop next door in an awkward first encounter. However, when they meet again, the two end up striking up a friendship, developing a "guide for being just friends" because they both don't want to date. As their friendship grows and their circles combine, their feelings become hard to ignore though...

I thought this book was a cute read! I enjoyed seeing the couples from the first two books connected in this series and I liked how independent and strong willed Hailey was, determined to make her business work and all on her own terms. Their friendship was so wholesome, but I wish their relationship had progressed faster. It felt kind of slow at times and frustrated me when they ignored their feelings for each other - they had some individual problems that needed to be worked out first but kept coming in the way.

I wish there hadn't been quite as many conflicts towards the end because I just wanted them to finally get together! I also thought that the writing could have showed their interactions more because sometimes I felt like I was just being told what they did after the fact when it could have been such a cute scene.

Overall this was a cute, light read though that I think someone could enjoy if they like closed-door, friends-to-lovers stories :)

Although you can read this as a stand-alone, there are far too many side characters and implied back story, and more intriguing than the main couple

When I originally requested this book I was not aware it was a third in the series, fortunately it worked fine on its own and I did not feel as though I needed to go back and finish the other two first. Unfortunately, this book felt all too familiar and nothing unique and I really struggled to want to continue reading because it just felt like I knew how everything was going to happen. If you love the harry meets sally vibes, you will definitely enjoy this cute romance!

Hailey is relatively new to the area and determined to make her Salad shop business thrive.
Wes recently moved to California from New York for his family & just wants to partner with his brothers on investments. After a very bad “meet cute”, the two eventually become friends… and more…

Friends to Lovers trope can be one of my favorites because you get to see the relationship build. I absolutely adored the relationship between Hailey & Wes, both as friends and as lovers. I cried when they had their predictable break up (breakup was predictable, but what caused it was not) and I cried again when they got back together.

Definitely a 4 star read - I really enjoyed it and did not want to put it down.

Sophie Sullivan is a fantastic author, whose writing style hits me right in the feels. This is a third part to a series, but each book is a standalone. And doesn’t necessarily rely on the previous book. Just don’t read this one first.

Oh, how I loved this one. I did not originally realize it was the third in the series, but when I recognized certain characters, I realized I had also read the first two and loved them!

Wes was such a classically good guy and I adored his character. Hailey was a lot of fun as well - I liked that she owned a salad shop instead of a bakery like sooooo many RomCom heroines do (also kind of wished it really existed!). I felt like this tied up the Jansen brothers series well and was a lot of fun to read!

Hailey meets Wes when he mistakes her for the date he's waiting for. They soon discover overlapping areas of interest and decide to be just friends. In the slowest of slow burns, they realize their feelings for each other and live HEA.

This was a sweet, closed door romance. I have read many of these types of books without reading the preceding books and still loved the story. This one was harder to follow all the side characters without having read the previous books. The side characters were more present in this story than they typically are in these types are series. I'd recommend reading these in publication order for maximum enjoyment.

I started out reading this book, not knowing that it was the 3rd book in a series.... And now I need to go get the other books. This was a quick easy read, perfect if you want a great HEA, strong, hardworking, determined FMC and a hunky, brilliant, friendly/likable billionaire MMC. Hailey, a new shop owner and transplant to San Verde, after a bad break up- and with tons of baggage she dives headfirst into business ownership. She is fierce, stubborn and so lovable... And the way her and Wes met had me giggling and asking, "What was THAT?!?" The only thing that really bothered me about Hailey's character was that she was extremely stubborn when it came to Wes' wealth. The bit about giving gifts, it annoyed me at first, but Hailey made really great points.

Wes, who was born into money and not into love, is a self-made millionaire, closet nerd and unbeliever of love. Wes at first seemed a bit grumpy, but not for long he ended up being really friendly but a bit negative or maybe cynical.... The author did a wonderful job of making sure Hailey didn't outshine but supported Wes' character, they really played well together, and it was part of what made this story work so well for me. The chemistry was undeniable.

The slow burn in this book was so beautifully done! I didn't even mind them being friends, but then we all caught the feels, and I needed things to HAPPEN! Speaking of things happening, this is not a spicy book. All closed-door scenes, which personally I prefer a little bit of spice, but I didn't really miss it here. So, Kudos to the author for that!

The secondary characters were all the perfect accomplices to Hailey and Wes and their story. The only ones I didn't like were Hailey's parents. I get why they needed to be in the book, for context and backstory, but I also feel like her ex-Dorian was enough of a piece of work that Hailey's parents and their issues weren't really even necessary, it could have been built on his issues alone!

This book is for anyone who loves: Contemporary romance, A satisfying happily-ever-after, Nerdy guys, slow burn, Friends to Lovers, Opposites Attract and Multiple POV.

I really enjoyed the audiobook, for this book. Love the narrator for Hailey so much, she brings so much life to her. Wes's narrator was smooth and easy to listen to.

I have such mixed feelings on this one. I love Wes and Hailey has individuals, but UGH, I didn't really feel a connection between the two. The chemistry was just not there for me, but their friendship and other characters (from the first two books) really pulled it together for me.

All that being said, I definitely related to so many things in this book: Hailey's yearning for success while doing things on her own and wanting to find her own community in a new place, the feeling Wes feels that he was meant for something more - something that is his own, the value on family and friends.
