4.5 stars again, for an excellent follow up to the fantastic Nyxia.
At the start I struggled to see where it was going for a short while, but every time I turned a page it just got better and better. I cannot wait to read book 3! And that ending! Gah.
So, I loved the meld of 11 and 12 on this, plus I’d forgotten the horror of what they were forced to do at the end of Nyxia. That was brought home pretty quickly. I felt the mining was interesting but I’m glad we didn’t get any more of it. Though the reasoning there and the moving on felt rushed to be honest. But getting to see the Imago was lovely. As was just how well the book highlights mankind’s failings - at this point just Babel’s perhaps, but it rang true for me. They took away the name of the people, of the planet. How is that supposed to endear them to a people they want something from?
Having said that, the Imago aren’t always much better, but at least that gets cleared up a bit. I really enjoyed the restaurant scene on planet, and the bits preceding that :) I think it was lovely to show that the choices aren’t perfect either way.

Re-reading 2020, furt stejně dobré, pořád jsem nesnášela ty samé postavy, stejně tak jsem si užila zvraty v ději, i přesto, že jsem měla při druhém čtení výhodu a věděla, že tam budou :D
Doma mám druhý díl, tak jsem zvědavá, jak se příběh bude vyvíjet - zůstává dost nakousnutých témat a otázek bez odpovědí.
Příjemný rozjezd série. Co mě fakt bavilo, byly nečekané zvraty, které se nedaly jen tak předvídat.
Čtivý, akční, napínavý, takže za mě dobrý. Po přečtení mám dost otázek, na které pravděpodobně budou odpovědi v dalším dílu, autor umí čtenáře skvěle zaháčkovat a nechat ho natěšit se na druhý díl. Přiznám se, že jsem párkrát musela otočit stránky a přečíst si něco ještě jednou, jestli jsem to dobře pochopila (cvičné souboje s ošetřenými zbraněmi a možné zranění jimi) a doteď nevím, zda je tam nelogičnost, nebo mi to prostě uniká :D Autor to vcelku umí i s postavami, pokud chce, abyste danou postavu nesnášeli, nesnášet ji prostě budete... :D

Stejně jako první díl to bylo plné akce a zvratů. A taky otázek o logičnosti děje, nebo konkrétních věcí a událostí, které působily už moc "nastaveně". Poslední třetina knihy, která se odehrávala mezi Adamity, mě moc nebavila. Čekala bych, že rasa, která žije na jiné planetě, za jiných podmínek, bude taky dost odlišného vzezření a kulturní rozdíly budou víc než markantní. Ale Adamité jsou skoro jak lidé, což je celkem nuda. Ale první dvě třetiny se četly dobře, autor psát umí a čtivé je to dost.

Very fun. Some repetitive moments. Looking forward to the next one, but wish I didn’t have to wait.
Now that they’re on Eden… watch out! Second in the Nyxia series, there are still plenty of twists and turns and more world building as the action continues parallel to learning more about the adamites and the planet itself. Ready to see how it all ends!

And in this year of shitastic suck, we have been blessed with its sequel Nyxia Unleashed in less than a year.
I really enjoyed Nyxia, but it wasn't without it's problems. Like convenient deaths and not so subtle twists. I wasn't convinced by the quick romance, but reminded myself adrenaline builds relationships.
With the MC left shuttling out to space and fading to black, I was very excited for the next book.
Nyxia Unleashed begins RIGHT where Nyxia left off. I didn't have problems keeping up but refreshing my memory with a character list would've been good. If you were bored of the repetitive tasks of the Babel training (which I was very surprised to read is a common enough complaint in negative reviews), there's no repetition here.
Of course, ends on a major OH SHIT twist that makes me want to read the next one right NOW.
I can't think of a single solitary thing to complain about. Well, I do think it's a pity how binary both cultures are, but that's a ubiquitous problem.

- Everything is a new experience, new places, new people, new information.
- Nyxia....I was not prepared for the reveals about it. At all.
- The romance won me over
- The Ice Queen melted.
- Different people stood out
- Love the leadership changes and portrayal
- Love the character progression
- Babel Vs. Imago feels like a real chess match fitting trillion dollar capitalist colonizers and an advanced alien civilization.
- Imago and their culture are not perfect and are relatable
- Fuck colonizers!!!!
- FIGHT THE POWER!!!!

It's rare to find a second book in a trilogy that not only is as good as the first but exceeds it. This ones it. The setup of the world, the training, the characterization, it all has paid off in this second book. For fans of sci-fi, and world building!
