Favorite line: “Athena is a bitch”
I appreciate the sisterhood in this book, and the bluntness of what Poseidon did, the betrayal of Athena, the delusion of Perseus, and Burton’s prose. Is it a retelling which sticks to the myth(s)? No. Maybe, if I knew this was, as Medusa says, a retelling from a different universe, I would’ve enjoyed it more, but that’s on me.

Delicate and melancholy. Some of the language is too modern for the overall tone and it detracts from the story.
