this book was inspired by ted lasso but if you ASK ME it was essentially red white and royal blue mixed with kulti. which means it was my perfect book.

Mid.

Firstly, I liked the way that Gavin’s chronic pain wasn’t portrayed as the typical - it will get better blah blah crap, I appreciated the raw reality of his chronic pain and Ollie’s anxiety.
However, that said, the book cover is criminal, and the way they described each other was so unrealistic a lot of the time(I cringed) Also like where was the soccer? For a book with the main theme being football it was brushed over - we got like a game and a couple practices.

Honestly it felt like gaps were missing in the book.

Have a love hate feeling about Vaggo.

The poker scenes were the only thing that got me through this book. Mitchell for the win.

And idk if it was just me but the CONSTANT repetition of “grumbled” “grunted” got to the point where it was actually beginning to piss me off.

Mid. but not utterly atrocious.

I loved so much of this, which isn’t surprising since I adore the Bergman brood so much. Oliver & Gavin had so much chemistry I LOVED it. Gavin is the biggest grump and truly the one bed trope in this is done flawlessly, I was cackling like a fiend.

Some of their arguments and some of the age difference jokes annoyed me, which is why it’s not a full 5⭐️ 🤷‍♀️

I would love it if Chloe would venture into sapphic romances at some point now too though 👀

I love this series for normalizing things like disabilities, sexuality and chronic illneses. I loved seeing how gavin learns to love himself and his live in order to be able to bring love into his life.

Everything For You has been on my TBR for quite awhile so I was so excited when I finally got around to reading it! I enjoyed the beginning of the book, but the story ended up falling a bit flat for me in the end (unfortunately).

I just wanted more from this story and the characters. More discussions revolving around mental health, more romantic yearning from both parties, more conversations about their pasts, etc.

I wanted more romantic buildup between them as well. Oliver + Gavin didn’t make their deal until around the 60% mark — which was a bit late for my taste — but others might feel differently!
