Everything For You

4.12 AVERAGE

My first MM romance and it feels right that it was from my favorite, Ms. Chloe Liese

This was a perfect mix of a light-hearted romcom with pretty emotional elements woven throughout the story. I already knew that I loved Oliver from the previous books, but I was surprised how easily I connected with Gavin. I do love a grumpy man and he was that and more.

My do wish that we had gotten to know more about Gavin and his past throughout the book instead of at the very end. It was clear that he was a stubborn character, but it takes a lot more than being stubborn to push himself to the limits he did.

It also would've been nice to have seen there first meeting and then jump forward in time to hit that 4 year mark, because sometimes it felt like their connection was stronger than what we had seen on page. I chalk this up to them having played together for 2 years before the start of the book, but I would've liked to see that progression instead of them going from what felt like 0 to 100 in the rivals to lovers department. This is basically the same complaint I had in Ren's book, so at least I'm consistently in need of more back story for these characters that have known each other before the start of the book.

Overall, I loved this book and am impatiently waiting for Ziggy's book to release this year!

I can’t believe I binge-read an entire Ted Lasso inspired soccer AU without knowing it was a Ted Lasso inspired soccer AU.

This was perfect from start to finish. Give me those sunshine x midnight rain vibes any day with a little bit of an enemies to lovers twist and a ‘there’s only one bed’ bonus trope, I’ll give it a 5 stars straight away.

My least favorite in the series. The characters felt flat and didn’t feel like a part of the series

i need the next book asap

I have loved everything that Chloe Liese has written so I had no doubt that I would love this book. Just like with all the previous books we get the perfect amount of banter, laughs and that slow burn swoony and sreamy goodness. I adore both Gavin and Oliver as MC's. I love that we finally got to see Oliver as the hero instead of a secondary character. I love his sunshine to Gavin's grumpy. This book has some trigger warnings (anxiety, chronic pain, homophobia and child abuse to name a few), I believe those thigs were handled with care but would suggest seeking out other reviews if you are sensitive to any of those topics. One of the things that I love about these books is the big Bergman family, and we get to see quite a bit of them. Especially my new favorite Bergman Linnea. This book did everything I wanted it to, and as excited as I am to get to the last two in the series next year I don't want it it end.

"Everyone wants to be seen. Some folks are just very good at denying themselves that. And you are an expert."

Again - no notes! I loved these two dorks and they were precious and sweet and uggggh so good! The caretaking in her books is always on a whole another level and I love that and it is so well done here. Even though I loved Oliver from previous books it was Gavin who stole my heart here. That man! Love him!

The Bergmans back! This time we have a grumpy/sunshine romance with Oliver Bergman and his teammate Gavin Hayes, who throws out some strong Roy from Ted Lasso vibes. Not only is this book full of pranks and witty banter, but there are also the sweetest moments (the panic attack scene on the plane

I cried like 10 times in the last 20% (positive)
