My girls (ages 8 and 7) loved this book. We're excited to visit some of the venues from the book ... Met, Grand Central Station, and the United Nations. It's a smart book that careful readers will enjoy re-reading to pick up on missed clues!

Newbery award. This book was very enjoyable. I loved how some secrets were kept until literally the last page. For example, you don't really know who the narrator is, or who she is writing to, until the 3rd to last chapter. Kids Claire and Jamie run away from home and have an adventure AND solve a mystery. This makes for an interesting and unique plotline. (See google doc for quotes with craft).
